Known throughout the Tarrant County legal community, Skeeter Anderson spent over 32 years in law enforcement with the Fort Worth Police Department. Since his retirement at the rank of sergeant in 2002, Skeeter has worked as a licensed, private investigator in Tarrant and surrounding counties.

While serving Fort Worth, Skeeter gained valuable experience in a number of diverse areas. He worked patrol throughout the city for approximately 5 years. Following that, he began a series of investigative and supervisory assignments. Skeeter’s investigative experience includes homicides and other major cases, child abuse cases, thefts and white collar crimes. As a supervisor Skeeter also has broad experience having supervised in patrol, the Theft Unit, the Commercial Auto Theft Unit, the Family Violence/Sexual Assault and Crimes Against Children Unit, the School Initiative Unit and the Homicide unit where he also served as acting lieutenant for the Violent Personal Crimes Unit. Along the way, Skeeter found time to be named Fort Worth Police Department officer of the year for 1979 and to receive a Certificate of Merit for one of his white collar investigations.

In addition to the above, Skeeter also worked in an undercover capacity and helped establish the Children’s Advocacy Center.

Away from work, Skeeter is an active member of Pantego Bible Church and a long-time class administrator for Bible Study Fellowship.
