From working undercover vice and narcotics, to spearheading a high-dollar law enforcement technology bond package, during her law enforcement career, Cherly Briggs has done it all. 

In her eighteen-year career with the Bedford Police Department, Cheryl served in a wide variety of capacities.  Cheryl served as a patrol officer and patrol sergeant, worked undercover, performed criminal investigations, served on the tactical team as a hostage / crisis negotiator, supervised several divisions including patrol, the jail, records, property and dispatch, and managed the records and property divisions.

On top of her comprehensive law enforcement experience, Cheryl has a background in accounting and small business; as well as extensive experience in technology.  Among the major technology projects she was responsible for in Bedford were converting the property room to a bar coding system, designing and implementing the Dispatch / 911 center, and replacing patrol vehicle MDT’s with laptops.
