Before his recent retirement, Bill Yeager spent over thirty years in law enforcement. He began his service in the United States Air Force as a Security Police Officer. After his separation, he worked at the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department in confinement while he gained his Basic Peace Officer Certification. In June of 1991, Bill was hired by the City of Fort Worth and attended the 82nd Fort Worth Police Academy.

During his tenure with the Fort Worth Police Department, Bill had several assignments including patrol, monitoring sex offender registrations, working high profile cases, surveillance and police integrity cases with the Special Investigation Unit, family violence detective and vice / narcotics detective.

However, it was Bill’s thirteen-year assignment to the Crime Scene Search Unit that he found the most rewarding. During this time, Bill processed crime scenes ranging from misdemeanor assaults to capital murder cases.

After obtaining his Basic Police Instructor certification, Bill taught Basic, Intermediate, Advanced Crime Scene Search as well as Basic Crime Scene Photography.  Bill taught the crime scene portion of the Criminal Investigation Course at Tarrant County College. Bill also taught several of these courses at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.

Bill also travelled the State of Texas for the Shaken Baby Alliance teaching the crime scene search portion of the Shaken Baby curriculum to peace officers and child protective service investigators.

During his career, Bill received over fifty written commendations, two Certificates of Merit and was twice nominated for Criminal Investigations Officer of the Year.

Through his experience and training Bill understands that crime scene investigation requires diligence, methodical evidence processing and preservation, and ultimately precise testimony in a court of law.  Bill brings these same talents to his work as a private investigator.

Bill and his wife Sherry enjoy spending time with their children and grand-children, as well as hitting the “links” and other sports-related activities
